MEET SHADOW!! (fka Coach). Shadow is 4 year old German Shepherd! Shadow is a BIG cuddle-bug. He LOVES his balls and always wants to be near you, getting pets and attention! If you're looking for that special dog-human bond & a ride-or-die- buddy to hop in the car and do literally everything you can think of with, he is the dog for you.
He's definitely your pet if you like snuggling up for a movie marathon but going for hikes or playing in the yard on the weekend! Shadow has been good with the kids he's met and he is currently being fostered with several other dogs of different sizes, and doing great! He would love a home where he has an active doggy sibling to prance around the yard with!
Shadow has been tossed around a lot of homes before he arrived at his amazing, experienced foster so he does have some separation anxiety (understandably so). He is looking for a home that works from home / is retired, or can bring their dog to work or hang out with a dog sitter/neighbor while you're out! He is making HUGE leaps in crate training but he will need a few months to develop a strong bond and trust in his family (and that they will come back) before he will be ok being left alone for long periods of time.
Shadow loves going for hikes/bike rides with his foster, and can go for miles. He also loves just being near you, whether or not you even leave the house that day. Shadow is the best boy, and deserves a forever home, that will love him for the attachment and loyalty he has for you. ADOPT SHADOW!!
Note: This little knucklehead can be a bit awkward with direct eye contact, so while he means no harm, a dog who is a very strong Alpha might misinterpret it as a challenge. But his foster says he's just a big knucklehead who is still learning to read the room and just trying to say hi! No dog restrictions for him, but something to consider if your existing dog is a very strong Alpha dog who will challenge other dogs.
