Meet Diamond – A Beautiful Soul in Need of Trust & Patience
Diamond is a 1-year-old spayed Shepherd Mix who was surrendered to the shelter with negative reports, but she’s proving to be a sweet, curious girl who just needs patience and time. She watches you with her big, soulful eyes and adorable perked ears, almost like a stuffed animal come to life.
She’s quiet and observant, never making a peep, though she listens intently when other dogs bark. She has a great appetite, loves treats (she even catches them mid-air!), and is in good health. She’s house-trained, sleeps through the night, and is learning to trust.
Diamond needs an experienced owner who understands that she has serious trust issues and can be nippy when unsure. She’s making progress—taking treats from hands and patiently waiting at the gate for her person. She’s curious and eager to bond, just needing time to decompress.
She’s working on her leash manners and pulls a bit, but with practice, she’ll be an excellent walking companion. Diamond is currently being fostered in Portland, OR, and is available for adoption in California and the Pacific Northwest. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready for a patient, loving home where she can continue to build trust and thrive.
