Meet Sprinkles!
Sprinkles is a 3 yr old, 21 lb Havanese/Terrier mix who was saved from euthanasia at Downey Animal Care Center and is now beginning his healing journey in foster care.
The shelter was incredibly overwhelming for him, and fear shut him down, but in a home, we’re already seeing a softer side emerge.
Sprinkles is a very sensitive, gentle boy who is still coming out of his shell.
While he doesn’t yet seek out affection, he allows his foster to touch him all over and happily accepts love once it’s given.
He’s been completely unbothered by the other small dogs in the home and has shown zero aggression, just fear and uncertainty as he learns the world is safe again.
This sweet boy will thrive with a patient, calm adopter who understands shy dogs and will let him move at his own pace. With consistency, kindness, and time, Sprinkles has so much potential to blossom into a devoted companion.
He is currently being fostered in San Diego, CA.
