Meet Snoopy!
Snoopy is a sweet, cuddly, and absolutely adorable little 20 pound dog.
He is a 2 year old dachshund terrier mix and probably a mix of many more breeds. Snoopy came from the Riverside shelter after being found feral on the street. After a few days of spicy looks, he warmed up and quickly turned into a full Velcro dog!
Once Snoopy feels safe, he is a total ball of love and energy. He just wants to cuddle with his person, play, and be close. He is a bit shy when meeting new people and needs someone patient and understanding. Once he works through his fear, he gives his whole heart and endless affection.
Snoopy does well with his dog foster brother Slim and has gotten along with other dogs at his trainer’s facility. However, he is very anxious at first, so all introductions need to be slow, calm, and never on leash. His anxiety outside shows up as reactivity to most noises, dogs, and people on walks. Because of this, his ideal home would be one that is comfortable skipping walks and instead providing yard time for play, especially fetch, which he loves.
Snoopy is very intelligent and enjoys enrichment games like hiding his food for him to find. He is crate trained, though he has gotten a bit spoiled and loves cuddling under the covers.
Snoopy would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands his needs, is okay with slow introductions to new people or dogs, and is happy giving him a safe yard to enjoy life at his own pace!!
A quiet home that is ok with him being low maintenance and a home body!
He’s being fostered in Sherman Oaks
